Barry Brubaker
Barry Brubaker was the “pilot” of the Dream Flight USA shuttle for four years. He drove the Spirit of Education to over 100 schools and events throughout Wisconsin, in addition to shuttle missions in Iowa and Michigan.
His final trip was on Monday, June 6 when, at the end of the school day, broght the Spirit of Education home after a five-day shuttle mission to the Rice Lake, WI School District.
Mr. Brubaker taught in the Stratford, WI School District for 36 years. He retired in June, 2005. Barry has a BS degree in Social Studies and a Master’s Degree in Education. He is a graduate of Lakeland College in Sheboygan.
Barry also coached track for 22 years and cross country for 36 years. He will continue officiating local track meets.
In addition to being a licensed pilot, flight instructor, and motor coach driver, he also enjoys bowling, golfing, biking, and Cross Country Skiing. He has skied in the American Birkebeiner for the past 15 years.
